About the Hunt
Lion hunting is my favorite thing to do during the winter months. They are an Apex predator and are very hard on the deer and elk.They need to be managed, and there is nothing I love more than saving our deer and elk. these hunts take place in November-january. your morning start early, cutting canyons in truck or on snowmobile. once a legal track is located we put GPS tracking colors on the hounds, and start them on the track. the dogs take it from there. once we can figure the dogs have got the lion in a tree, we navigate as close as we can on snowmobile or truck, then hike into the tree. most shots are less than 20 yards.
Your hunt will base out of our ranch bunk house, there you will enjoy the comfort of a shower and hot cooked meals.
we will provide transportation to and from the airport.
skinning and prepping of Hyde will be takin care of by your guide.
